Reimbursement Specialist – Contract Opportunity

Location: Sarasota, FL

Contract Dates: August 10, 2026 – November 7, 2026

Openings: 3

Pay Rate: $31.13/hour

Work Location: 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Reimbursement Specialist to support billing, collections, and insurance reimbursement activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with commercial payers and collections , excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to independently manage assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding claims
• Research and resolve claim rejections and denials
• Perform collections activities and follow up with insurance providers
• Accurately document account activity and claim status
• Review and audit data to identify errors
• Work with clearinghouses and commercial payers to resolve outstanding issues
• Communicate professionally with insurance providers and internal teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent, applicable experience
• Strong billing and collections experience , with an emphasis on collections
• Commercial payer experience required
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and medical billing applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to type at least 30 WPM
• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Home Health or Hospice billing experience
• Experience with Medicare Part A
• Experience with Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers
• Homecare Homebase / WellSky (Kinnser) experience
• Associate’s Degree
